This museum was designed for ShouGang Cooperation (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shougang_Corporation), the leader of Chinese steel industry. Because of the environment issue in Beijing, ShouGang decided to move all the factories to suburb area, and left up to 863ha area in the west of Beijing City.

The design of this museum was expected to be the first step to transform the old factory area into a post-industrial landscape attraction. ShouGang group wanted us to tells the history of it’s company, therefore we researched the site deeply and organize the history stories into our design as the “historical axis” landscape. We also set up a wall to memorize all the ordinary workers, because their stories are much more attractive than the history record of the authority.

Finally, I quit this project after we finished the concept design of the museum at late 2013, because I need time to finish my M.Arch Thesis. This project is still going on now.
